About these prices
These are prices for one lesson. Session packages, monthly plans and memberships often cost less per lesson and aren't included; where a school bills monthly but states a per-class price, we use that price.
Most of the group prices come from two national chains, SafeSplash and British Swim School, which publish prices on each location's page. Independent schools and city programs publish prices less often, so treat the figures as a guide to chain swim schools more than to every pool.
We don't show prices by city or state yet, because too few places in any one city publish a price. Some YMCAs and city programs charge members or residents less; where a place shows both, we use the price anyone can pay.
Prices come from each place's own website, as published when we last checked it.
